SHIPPING POLICY

GENERAL SHIPPING INFORMATION

SHIPPING AND PROCESSING TIMES 

โ€‹

Orders will be processed in the next 1-3 business days from the day the order is placed. Orders placed on Thursday or Friday may not ship until Monday. If you need an order shipped in  a certain timeframe, need to change  your shipping method, or need to make any adjustments on your shipment please email us at customerservice@madeinrio.shop and we will try our best to accommodate you. If an order has already shipped, we cannot make any adjustments.

LOST OR STOLEN PACKAGES

โ€‹

The customer assumes all responsibility for any loss, or damage of these items. We ship FOB shipping point. Once the order is passed along to the mail carrier, the shipment becomes the customer's and carrier’s responsibility.  

 

P.O. BOXES

โ€‹

Made in Rio does ship to P.O. Boxes. These packages will be sent through USPS regardless of the shipping method chosen. When shipping with USPS there is not a signature option for P.O.Boxes and the customer assumes the liability of shipping without one.

DOMESTIC SHIPPING INFORMATION

USPS:

Domestic orders over $100 travel FREE with standard USPS shipping! All exchanges and returns are shipped with USPS. USPS does not deliver on weekends or holidays listed below. Standard USPS shipping generally takes 3-7 business days to deliver once the package has been shipped.

Please note that as of late, USPS has been experiencing delays. We recommend purchasing 2 day shipping with FedEx if possible. 

 

FEDEX 2 DAY SHIPPING

โ€‹

If your order total is more than $300, we offer free FedEx 2 Day shipping. FedEx 2 Day takes 2 business days to deliver once the package has been shipped and processed. Shipping and processing times take 1-2 business days. Please note that FedEx does not deliver on weekends or holidays listed below.

While USPS is experiencing delays, we have temporarily lowered the Free FedEx 2 Day threshold to $200 per order so that more customers will qualify for FedEx shipping. :)

 

OVERNIGHT SHIPPING

โ€‹

All overnight orders will be processed and shipped on or before the next business day following the date of order. The delivery date should be the following business day, but orders can be subject to delays on the carrier’s end. Most common would be an extreme weather delay.

Please note, overnight orders do not go out the same day, therefore they should not be expected for arrival the day after the order is put through. For example, if an order with overnight shipping is placed on Thursday, it might not ship out until Friday. The order will not deliver until Monday of the following week. Fedex Express does not deliver on the weekend or holidays.

RETURN POLICY

YOU HAVE 7 DAYS FROM THE DATE OF FULFILMENT  

TO RETURN ELIGIBLE ITEMS. 
HOW WILL I RECEIVE MY STORE CREDIT?

Expect an e-mailed Credit Code within 3-6 business days of the delivery and acceptance of your return at our warehouse (based on the volume of returns). We appreciate your patience while we work quickly to get your processing needs resolved. Store Credit is calculated automatically to reflect any discounts and taxes at time of purchase. Store Credit is not processed the day your item is delivered. It must be sorted, inspected, and processed.

We always do our best to take care of our customers - dealing with all situations fairly and responsibly!  If you received a damaged or defective item, please contact us within 30 days of receiving the damaged item so we can rectify this. WE ONLY OFFER STORE CREDIT FOR RETURNS. WE DO NOT ISSUE REFUNDS TO ORIGINAL METHOD OF PAYMENT.

We get new styles constantly and hope we can assist you in finding something new if your purchase doesn't work out!

Once you send us an e-mail we will send you a Packing Slip + Prepaid USPS Return label that will be e-mailed directly to you! Print the label out and send your package back! Please ensure that ALL APPROVED ITEMS listed on the Packing Slip are included in the SAME package.

HOW DO I INITIATE AN EXCHANGE?

โ€‹

Send an e-mail to returns@madeinrio.shop with your order number to Start An Exchange.  Once you send us an e-mail we will send you a Packing Slip + Prepaid USPS Return label that will be e-mailed directly to you! Print the label out and send your package back! Please ensure that ALL APPROVED ITEMS listed on the Packing Slip are included in the SAME package. Please note that we only offer Exchanges for the same item in a different size, if available. Please note that you are only allowed to Exchange 1 Time Per Item. Once we receive your Exchange Request, we will begin processing your order. Please allow 3-6 business days for the Exchange Request to be processed and shipped. Once your Exchange has shipped, you will receive an e-mail with tracking and your Exchange will arrive to you within 2-3 business days once shipped. We are NOT able to Process Exchanges for International Orders.

WHERE DO I SEND MY RETURN/ EXCHANGE TO + WHAT DO I INCLUDE?

The Packing Slip for your Return must be included along with the items you have been authorized to Return/Exchange. Additional items that are not listed on the Return Packing Slip will not be eligible for a Return/Exchange and will not be calculated in your Store Credit.

PRODUCT PACKAGING


If your return item does not contain all of the original packaging it was sent with, the item will be subject to a 15% restocking fee which we will deduct from your store credit or exchange. This includes any accessory branded packaging, tags removed or missing, or cases missing.

ADDITIONAL RETURN DETAILS

  • We only offer STORE CREDIT for returns. We don't issue refunds back to your method of payment.

  • The amount of your Store Credit is only for the item(s) you purchased and does not include the shipping.

  • Merchandise must be returned within 15 days of the fulfillment date.

  • Merchandise must be unwashed and unworn with all tags still attached .

  • Shoes must be unworn and free of any scuffs or marks.

  • Store credit cannot be applied to future purchases until the return is processed. Meaning, you can not apply the store credit before we have actually issued it to you.

  • During the Returns Process if an item is ineligible for a Return you will not be able to select that item for Return. This will be all items past the policy time frame or ones that are Final Sale, Accessories, Intimates + Bodysuits.

  • If an item is Ineligible for a Return and it is included, we will have to send back the Ineligible Item to you at your expense.

  • FINAL SALE and FLASH SALE items are NOT eligible for Returns or Exchanges. 

  • All Accessories are FINAL SALE and NOT eligible for Returns or Exchanges. Accessories are Jewelry, Hats, Sunglasses, Handbags.

  • Fashion Face Coverings are FINAL SALE and NOT eligible for Returns Or Exchanges!

  • Bodysuits and Intimates are FINAL SALE and NOT eligible for Returns or Exchanges.

  • Please allow 3-6 business days for return processing.

  • Once your return is processed, we will email you a Credit Code with your store credit that you can use on the website.

  •  Store Credit does not expire.

  • Free Return Labels are not applicable for WhatsApp Orders.

  • We do not cover Return Shipping for International purchases, APO Addresses and PO Box Addresses.

  • We do not cover Return Shipping for International purchases, APO addresses and PO Box Addresses, so please send your Return to our 14 Scuppo Rd Unit E7, Danbury, CT 06811 address

  • Include your Invoice and Eligible Items in the Return Package.

  • Once the Return is delivered to our Warehouse, it takes 3-7 Business Days for our Team to process, then we will e-mail you a Credit Code with store credit.

  • We are NOT able to Process Exchanges for International Orders.

  • Please obtain Tracking for your records.
